Project Overview
In the summer of 2021, I interned virtually at Instrument, a digital product design agency and worked on one of their client's websites, Marriott Bonvoy for Marriott International. On the Marriott Bonvoy website, users can explore and book their hotel stays across Marriott International's extensive portfolio of hotel brands.
During the 10 week long internship, I got to experience and contribute to one design cycle. Most of my contributions were utilized in client reviews. Here are some work highlights:
-
Created comprehensive notes during user testing for team to reference
-
Supported strategists and researchers in the synthesis of user testing
-
Conducted an UX Audit of the client homepage, flagged areas of improvement, and made UX strategy recommendations
-
Lead a direct and indirect competitor analysis
-
Developed over twenty assets and thought starters for the project
-
Coordinated research on consumer behavior and translated insights into actionable design recommendations for the design team which I presented in an internal team workshop
Takeaways
Working on this project was an insightful experience! I got to understand client and agency relations, and learn how to become a better storyteller when developing and delivering presentations. I also enhanced my strategy and reasoning through mentorship from my team strategists and implementation of these skills throughout the design process.
My work for this project is under a NDA. To receive more details and information about my contributions, please reach out via LinkedIn or email.
